Imagine you're playing a video game. But your avatar doesn't completely have your best interests at heart. You see, your avatar has been programmed by others in the video game according to their interests. So your job is to play the game to get what you truly want, while at the same time trying to get your avatar to unlearn those things that have been programmed against your true interests. This is how life actually is.

The game of life is played against other avatars that want the same thing. Changing or breaking your own habits that you consider unworthy because other avatars have hacked your code to succeed over you does not necessarily mean those habits were wrong or your true interests are correct. Unlearn and learn all you want but it is not about winning the video game of life. It is about understanding who you are and what you are good at and what you are bad at. Then applying those to your life and becoming the best YOU can be. Not becoming the best someone else wants you to be.
