We have a responsibility to our Maker to "increase our talents" and when we spend time painting and improving the gift we were given, we are meeting our responsibility to Him. I won't say is isn't nice to sell a painting once in awhile; after all it give the artist a measure of acceptance, however if I waited to paint until I sold my work, I would certainly be waiting for a while, sometimes a very long while. I love to paint for the sheer love of creation. It brings me a great deal of joy. Thanks for another insightful post.

I’m glad to call myself an amateur painter. I have not sold any of my creations, I have given some to friends and family who appreciate them.
