This was a good one. And, having been an artist for over 50 years... most of them after the first 10 years have been as a professional artist. But, no one understands about the breaking of that space that is precious muse time. I'm glad I was able to take a break and read this... a needed turning away from the easel, with my usual classic rock music playing. I needed to be able to turn away so I can turn back to see it with fresh eyes. Reading your post was good!

I really need to make my time more sacred.

I was doing it before.

Keeping the door closed is a great thing. I definitely do this when I know I need to allow the flow to seep into my brain to honor my creative thoughts and mindful expression. Ahh let it be allowed!

This reads more like a cultist attracting followers than encourager artists.

A cult that encourages people to be themselves in their own solitude and learn to think for themselves while not following any leader. Sounds like a great "cult" where each person follows only their own intuition and intellect. A cult that asks for no dues. A cult that celebrates every individual's creativity. A cult with no agenda. A cult of human creativity.
