Nice article, I like the analogy. I too get lost when I create, although it's thru painting. Sometimes I walk out of my studio and wonder what the world will look like when I step back in. I have no concept of how long I've been gone.
Yes, I lose myself often in creating art as a visual artist. It is such a wonderful feeling to exist inside yourself at such a deep level and lose all attachment to the reality and passing of time around you.
I had never heard about “little god” theory. I was raised Catholic and went to Catechism class once a week from public school but never heard that about being “little gods” when we create. Can you expand on that or reveal where we might read more about it? Thanks. Great writing.
